Rose City Games collaborates and innovates to make better games by forming strong relationships and partnerships that balance vision and execution. We are game lovers at heart, trusting collaborations between art, technology, and business to forward modern media culture.
Founded by Will Lewis and Corey Warning in 2015, Rose City Games formed from its work on the Cartoon Network Game Jam. Working with the studio’s experience with Portland’s community and game jam culture, Rose City Games realized that collaborating with passionate local game developers was key to formally introducing themselves and others to the game industry at large. After working with various projects in VR development, AR development, games marketing, and tabletop production, the studio’s deep knowledge of the games ecosystem and its talented creators prompted a partnership with VIZ Media. Rose City Games continues to work with VIZ Media to innovate in creative IP development, indie game publishing, and community management while also working in experimental VR and AR technology.
A game studio founded by community organizers, Rose City Games continues to focus on partnership- and relationship-building, culture, and process in its work.
What is the difference between RCG and PIGSquad?
Rose City Games and The Portland Indie Game Squad are two separate organizations run by many of the same people! Because we are dedicated to supporting the health and continued expansion of the game developer community, you can find us regularly volunteering our extra time to PIGSquad.

Will Lewis is a lifelong lover of games and game making, co-founding Rose City Games in 2015 and founding the Portland Indie Game Squad (a nonprofit organization supporting game development in the Portland area) in 2011. Having run 28 game jams through 2017 and participating in personal game making challenges multiple times a year, he enjoys creating environments and resources that support art and tech creatives while collaborating on projects focused on character and story.
Corey Warning is a game designer, director, and musician. He previously worked in the music industry for over ten years, both as a recording artist and record label representative. After moonlighting in mobile game development for a few years, he went on to work as the marketing director for Jumpdrive Studios. He joined PIGSquad in 2015 and began working with Will on supporting the community and founding Rose City Games.
Nic Biondi is creative coder and game jam aficionado with a wide range of experience in traditional video games, virtual reality, projection mapping visuals, and other creatively-influenced software development. He created “It Came From The Sewers” with community members at PIGSquad’s first game jam in October of 2011, and has since continued exploring his love for gameplay themes and genres by developing multiple game titles after a career in ecommerce.
Marlowe Dobbe is an award-winning illustrator with a love for games she’s fostered since childhood. In 2016, she started attending PIGSquad events and has been illustrating and animating for games ever since. Previous projects of Marlowe’s include Lost Wage Rampage and Dicey Dungeons. Christian Scandariato is a game designer and programmer. He has been professionally making games since 2013 and graduated with a degree in Game Design from Full Sail University in 2015. He can be found nose-deep in a game or book at any moment of any day, and believes deeply in the power of analyzing and improving design to make the best possible experiences of the medium of video games.
Jenny Windom started her career as a middle and high school teacher, but happily fell into the world of indie games in 2016 and hasn’t looked back since. She has worn many hats including video/livestream producer and community manager at Utomik, influencer manager at Indie Boost, and contributor to Intelligame. When not she’s not gaming or streaming, she's dancing, brainstorming cheesy puns, and trying to find cats and corgis to fawn over.
